3rd Quarter Tax Payments

Property tax bills were mailed on Monday, September 20th.

Due to late mailing, the 3rd quarter grace period has been extended to October 15, 2021.

Payments received after October 15th will accrue interest back to the statutory due date of August 1st.

REMINDER: 4th Quarter Payments Are Due on November 1st.

A Message From the Tax Collector's Office:

Taxes are due: February 1st, May 1st, August 1st and November 1st. There is a 10-day grace period for receipt of quarterly property tax payments. If payment is received after the grace period has ended,

interest will accrue at a rate of 8% per annum on the first $1,500.00 and 18% on amounts in excess of $1,500.00 from due date to date of payment received by Collector. A penalty of 6% will be charged on any tax delinquency exceeding $10,000.00 if not paid by the end of the calendar year.

As of June 7, 2021 the Borough Hall 2nd floor lobby re-opened to the public by appointment. Please note the Borough no longer accepts cash payments for amounts due greater than $5.00. In addition to the online payment option (see link above), you may remit payment by check via US mail, via the Tax Collector’s dropbox (located in the main lobby to the right of the elevator, below the directory board), or through online bill payment from your bank. Please be aware that payments initiated by your bank should be scheduled in advance to allow sufficient time for processing and mailing. Payments are credited to your account as of the date received by the Borough. If you are mailing a check and prefer a receipted bill, please include the entire bill and a stamped self-addressed envelope with your payment.

Direct Withdrawal of Property Taxes:

Many residents have already enrolled in Alpine’s Direct Withdrawal program for tax payments. This service assures that your payment will be received in a timely manner and provides a safe and secure way to pay your taxes without the worry of mail delivery or coming to the Borough Hall to pay in person. Quarterly payments will be debited from your checking account on the payment due dates.

If you would like to enroll in this program, please click below to complete the Direct Withdrawal Authorization Form and return it to the Tax Office along with a voided check.

.Please be sure to print and complete the entire Authorization Form and attach a voided check.  Incomplete applications will delay your enrollment.
