The Alpine Field Guide was created to promote awareness and appreciation of the trees around our Borough Hall and in the Church Street Green, located on the corner of Closter Dock Road. There are so many trees with such interesting characteristics . . . take a closer look . . . watch an introductory video, get a Field Guide, or view tree photos and descriptions online. While you're at it, find out what's in the Alpine 100 year Time Capsule (1976-2076) buried at the base of the tricolor beech at Borough Hall.
The Alpine EC was honored with an achievement award from the Association of NJ Environmental Commissions for this project.
